Is that shocking?  It should actually be a relief.  Take the world off your shoulders, Atlas.  Take the troubles and cares, and lay them down.  There is a God and you're not Him.  He made the universe, the heavens and the earth, and didn't consult one of us before, during, or after doing so.  He has a plan and although we don't get it, know it, or would even understand it if we did, we must push forward on faith. 

 

There are many teachings on God.  Some teachings believe that there is no God, some that everything is God and others that God is in everything.  In some religions, there is just peaceful bliss, nirvana, as if taking a glass of water and pouring it into the ocean.  You are the glass and "God" is the ocean.  How about, "realize your full potential in oneness with the divine essence"... 

 

 

 

However, that being said, you can take your worries and rest them at the feet of God.  Take a break from trying to be Him, and just enjoy Him.  

 

 

Isn't the desire to "be like God" what got us into this mess to begin with?  Satan tempted Eve in Genesis 3: 1-5.

 

"Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

   2And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

   3But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

   4And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die

 5For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."

Instead of trying to tell God the way things should go down, maybe we should relax, and realize Who exactly is in charge.  He offers us such peace, if we will just accept that.  Rest your hearts, take a break.  Rest in Him.  

 Acts 10:36, "The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all) "

Romans 5:1, "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ"

 

 

A Great and Mighty, Powerful God created the heavens and the earth.  He grants us grace, hope, assurance and love.  Knowing that we don't have all the answers is a blessing, not a curse.  Instead of worrying, just take a moment and receive all that God has to offer.  

Sometimes we just need a moment to realize there is a God, and thankfully, we're not Him.
