One God, Jesus and Heavenly Father, or three Gods we worship?

Gospel Principals... you don't have to get too far into reading it on the LDS.org site and there are already discrepancies.  First, it states "There are millions of stars and planets all in perfect order. They did not get there by chance. We can see the work of God in the heavens and on the earth. The many beautiful plants, the many kinds of animals, the mountains, the rivers, the clouds that bring us rain and snow--all these testify to us that there is a God."

Then, just a paragraph or two later, you see, "The prophets have taught us that God is the almighty ruler of the universe. God dwells in heaven (see D&C 20:17). Through his Son, Jesus Christ, he created heaven and earth and all things that are in them (see Moses 2:1). He made the moon, the stars, and the sun. He organized this world and gave it form, motion, and life. He filled the air and the water with living things. He covered the hills and plains with all kinds of animal life. He gave us day and night, summer and winter, seedtime and harvest. He made man in his own image to be a ruler over his other creations (see Genesis 1:26-27)."

My question might be able to be answered with the word "Through", but if the LDS believe that God the Father and Jesus the Son are two separate beings, who created everything, was it God or was it the Son?  They add "through" to relieve this inconsistency just as they add "in purpose" to the end of One God.

"God is the one supreme and absolute being in whom we believe and whom we worship. He is the Creator, Ruler, and Preserver of all things" (seeDiscourses of Brigham Young, pp. 18-23).

Now, lets read that again.  The ONE supreme and absolute being (not beingS), HE is the Creator, Ruler, and Preserver of all things.  Is that GOD the Father or is that Jesus?  It just said that Jesus was the Creator and we know from LDS doctrine they are separate beings, yet Brigham Young said He is the Creator and that GOD is the ONE supreme being we worship.  Is that confusing to anyone else?

Now, let's look at my favorite and now any Mormon's least favorite book, Mormon Doctrine...  :)

Pages 576-577 state under the section of Plurality of Gods, "Three separate personages - Father, Son, and Holy Ghost - comprise the Godhead.  As each of these persons is a God, it is evident, from this standpoint alone, that a plurality of Gods exists.  To us, speaking in the proper finite sense, these three are the only Gods we worship."

So, what is right?  As written in Gospel Principles, there is a God, then later only to say that Jesus created everything?  Or, as Brigham Young would say, God is Creator?  Or as good ol' Bruce R. McConkie, "These are the only Gods we worship".

Can you see why Mormons are confused about their own doctrine?  This may sound harsh, but it's simply the truth.  Mormon doctrine does not make sense.  When man designs a religion, it's going to be full of loopholes and as they are constantly adding to the "Scripture" with "Modern Day Revelation" the water keeps getting murkier and murkier.

Can't they see that the only consistent being in all this is Jesus?  Or maybe they are too wrapped up in works, temple rites and figuring out some consistency to see that fact.
