What is Hell? Is it a fiery pit with a dude and a pitchfork? Probably not, so let's say no on that. Or would you agree that it is separation from God? I think that would be a safe assumption. So, separation from God = Hell.
So, LDS Doctrine tells us of three separate levels of heaven. Terrestial, tellestial, and celestial. They also teach that God has a body of flesh and bone. In these three levels, the Holy Spirit is in the Terrestial, Jesus is in the Tellestial and God is in the Celestial. Now... If God has a body of flesh and bone that means he can only be in one place at a time, correct? Ok. So, if he is in the Celestial kingdom, tending to the BEST Mormons, then the other TWO LEVELS OF HEAVEN are HELL. He's not there... because he CAN'T be. Now... you work your whole life and you are the perfect Mormon and you've made it! You're in the Celestial Kingdom and God is there. Brilliant! Wait... another pretty darned good Mormon is calling for him at the temple in Salt Lake City... he's gotta go. Now... Celestial Kingdom that you worked so hard to get into... is HELL. You have now been separated from God. He can't send the Holy Spirit to the pretty darned good Mormon in SLC, because that would be a different god and not God the Father.
Now, this may be controversial, but it is fact according to LDS Doctrine. I can also quote "Mormon Doctrine", but since that book has been banned from the LDS library, maybe that won't do any good. But look it up yourself. He says that they are three separate Gods and "These are the only THREE Gods we worship". (By the way, it's p. 576-577)
So... work as hard as you can, because the best it can get you is hell. That's horribly sad.
Wow...this is so hard to process! I would have no hope if I didn't feel like I was going to be with my Father at the end of this whole mess.
