Oh, Mormons love to be called "Christian". But I noticed something interesting while at the Mormon Miracle Pageant. They would say, "We are Christian", but in the same breath, "Don't listen to the Christians!" They would walk through a group of us and say, among many things, "Oh, these are the Christians". Aren't they the ones who would fight to the death to say they are Christian, yet would tell others not to listen to us? What is the difference? Oh, we're "those" Christians. Huh? If they wanted to be called Christians, then why wouldn't they want anyone to listen to us? If their belief is enough to be warranted being called Christian, then there shouldn't be any issue with speaking with us about that belief. Right? Wrong. The LDS people at the Pageant didn't want to talk to the "Christians", wouldn't allow us on Temple Grounds, although we're all "Christians", wouldn't allow us to bring our backpacks into the bathrooms, because we might be "Christian" in there and wouldn't allow us to "Evangelize" on the grass which was "Church property". Does any of that make sense? Or is it the height of hypocracy?
They want society to accept them as Christian, yet won't allow "Christians" into their Temples, won't let us talk about Jesus on Church Property and will threaten to arrest us if we do. What exactly is "Christian" about that?
Christianity does not teach that Jesus and Satan are brothers.
Christianity does not teach that God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost are the "three gods we worship" - Mormon Doctrine, Bruce McConkie.
Christianity does not teach that men can become gods.
Christianity does not teach that God used to be a man and worked his way up the ladder to godhood.
Christianity does not teach that there is a heavenly mother, although not mentioned much in LDS Doctrine DOES exist as she (or many wives) literally gave birth to us in the pre-existance.
Christianity does not teach that we need a prophet on the earth.
Christianity does not teach that we need modern day revelation.
Christianity does not teach that we need additional books to "restore" the Gospel.
Christianity does not teach that we need to perform ordinances in a Temple either for our salvation or the salvation of someone else.
Christianity does not teach that we need to listen to the words of man to get us closer to God.
Mormonism teaches those things. Yet, Mormons are "Christians". No. They are not. Christianity doesn't teach what Mormons believe, so how can they be "Christian"? I do not believe what Mormons teach, so I am not to be called a Mormon. They say because they follow Jesus that they are Christian, yet they follow the prophet. They believe in Jesus, yet that doesn't make them Christians. Even the demons believe.
If you have faith in Jesus Christ ALONE, that HIS works save us and our works are as filthy rags, if we admit with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead we will be saved. That makes us Christian. A follower of Jesus Christ, NOT Thomas S. Monson or Joseph Smith.

Blacklisted....
Well... that didn't last long. Met with the missionaries on Saturday and brought out "Gospel through the Ages" which discusses the belief that the LDS believe they can become gods. We talked through that, but it was obvious that they were not equipped to discuss such deep doctrine. They told me that a book like that isn't good to read. But it was written for members of the church, as a teaching guide. I told them that if it's not good to read, then why was it even printed and released? They agreed that the doctrine in it was accurate, then why shouldn't I read it? They then brought up "Mormon Doctrine"!!!! They said that some of the doctrine in there was "iffy". I said, then WHY would an APOSTLE be allowed to write something that the church allowed to be used to lead people astray and why was he allowed to remain in such a high position at the church if he was so wrong? They didn't have any answer. They said they had another appointment and they had to go. I asked them if they wanted to meet again and they said, "oh, yeah." I said, "When?" They said, "We'll call you tonight." That was Saturday night and it's Monday... nothing. So, I'm guessing I'm blacklisted again. I'm going to give them a call if I don't hear anything in a couple of days.
Some people still wonder why I meet with the Mormons. It's easy... I love them. I think they are worth every second of time spent with them. I believe God loves them and I believe they are misled. Period. I refuse to give up on them. Why should I? God didn't give up on me and there were many times He easily could have. We all are loved by God. He wants to see the LDS people come to know Him as the God from Everlasting to Everlasting, all eternity to all eternity. Not as an exalted man with a body of flesh and bones. Not as a man who went through the motions to "become" a god and was even possibly a sinner in his pre-existant life. Read Moroni 8:18, and Isaiah 43:10. He is God forever, no other God formed before or after, because He is God from everlasting to everlasting. There is no other God.

Not Blacklisted! Prayers needed please.
So, I found out that I'm not blacklisted from meeting with the LDS Church Missionaries! Two of them came by on Sunday evening and we will be meeting tonight. Please pray that we will have a fruitful conversation and that seeds are planted. I think I'm going to bring up the "Fall of Adam" and how that is NOT a good thing. But we'll see what God has planned.
Ya know. I've seen/ heard a lot of people say to people who minister to people in the LDS Church that we should go witness to people who "don't know Jesus" and leave them alone, because they know who He is. There are a lot of answers to that, and one is that even the demons "know" who Jesus is. It doesn't mean that they have a relationship with Him. The members of the LDS Church are being misled, are lost and it breaks my heart. I am devoted to witnessing to the LDS people and I love them with my whole heart. I'm not doing this to be "mean" or "anti-Mormon". I'm very "Pro-Mormon", just "Anti-Mormonism". I love Mormons and want to see them come to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.

Whew!
Ok. Now that I'm back and settled from the Mormon Miracle Pageant, I can get back to regularly scheduled posting. I have about 30 topics ready to go.... Ack! But I found something VERY interesting in "Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith" that I will go in to. There is something that is referred to as the "Impossible Gospel" of Mormonism and it ties in to that. I'll create a post about it after dinner probably. :) First, I need to decide what dinner will consist of. I'm getting hungry.

Battle Cry
Each night before we go out to witness at the Mormon Miracle Pageant, we all kneel down and sing this song. I have to share. The men start, then the women follow.
Let us adore
Let us adore
The ever living God
The ever living God
And render Praise
And render Praise
Unto Him
Unto Him
He spreads out the Heavens
He spreads out the Heavens
And establishes the earth
And establishes the earth
And Who's Glory
And Who's Glory
Will manifest throughout the whole earth
He is our God
He is our God
He is our God
He is our God
There is no one else!
Praise to the ONE TRUE, ALMIGHTY GOD, FROM EVERLASTING TO EVERLASTING, WHO WAS AND IS, AND IS TO COME!

Amazingness happening! God is good all the time!
So, this is amazing! Tonight, Flic, Gabe and I were walking down the street at the Pageant and we ran into Aaron, another Christian missionary. He has tracts that read "We agree with Moroni 8:18" which states, "God is unchangeable from all eternity to all eternity", then it goes on to say that the Founding Prophet of the Church stated in 1844 in what is called the King Follett Discourses, "We have imagined and supposed that God was God from all eternity, I will refute that idea, and take away the veil, so that you may see." Contradiction much??? So, we stopped to talk to Aaron and while we were talking, he was still handing out these tracts and he asked this girl if she wanted one. She stopped and agreed that there was a huge contradiction there. She then turned to Flic, Gabe and me. She asked what we believed and we started talking to her about Jesus and His grace. We ended up talking for about 20 minutes and found out that she does not believe in the Mormon Church and wants to know God, but doesn't know where to turn. We got to share the Love of Jesus and she was so amazed that He loves her. She said that she felt like Jesus may have forgotten about her. Isn't that heartbreaking? That is what the LDS Church is doing to people! It's horrible! So, please pray for Carly. She is an amazing girl that needs Jesus in her life.
I also got the opportunity to talk with Bryan, Holly, Janice (some local LDS members from Mount Pleasant, Utah), as well as Helen, an LDS member from England who came to Utah to be in the Mormon Miracle Pageant, and Jordan, another local Mormon who was in the Pageant. Please pray for these people.
Good night!

OH! I have to show you "Buff Jesus"!
So, right before we left Temple Square, we went to the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and had dinner in the Nauvoo cafe. In that cafe was this picture. It was called "Man of Sorrow"... we called it "Buff Jesus". I was so shocked by this picture, because I never thought of seeing Jesus as buff and hot! What on earth is going on here? Does anyone else see the issue with this painting? I couldn't believe it when I saw it....Just wanted to share... So odd!
Ok, here we go... Temple Square and Pageant Update
So, yesterday we went to Temple Square in Salt Lake City. We took the tours and started conversations with several of the missionaries. Praying that the seeds we planted will bear fruit. We toured the LDS Conference Center, Temple Square, the Beehive House, which was Brigham Young's house that he shared with his third wife and 7 of his children, however his other wives lived in what is called the Lion House next door and all throughout Salt Lake City. We asked about how many wives he had and were quickly shown the way out. For the record, yes... Brigham Young was a polygamist, as was Joseph Smith, the Founding "Prophet" of the Church and many, many, many other LDS men in the beginning. It is taught in the Doctrine and Covenants, Section 132. I took some pictures of the Salt Lake Temple, though, we were not allowed in. We are not Temple Worthy Mormons..... and we need a Temple Recommend to get in. But this is the outside of it. It's an amazing building in and of itself, but what goes on in there, the Mormons would call "sacred" are an abomination... they seal couples and families for "time and all eternity", and do baptisms for the dead.... Anything else they do, is considered "sacred, not secret..." Ok....
We also watched a movie on Joseph Smith and the Restoration of the Church.... OH MY GOSH! Propaganda!!! They made Joseph Smith out to be the martyr... which is so far from the truth. At the very beginning of the movie they state that the movie you are about to see is true.... AND the Sister Missionaries "testify" that it was true, but they don't mention Joseph's 34 wives, they say that the reason he left Kirkland, Ohio was because of persecution and he was, according to Mormonism, was teaching Christian doctrine.... NO... he started a bank and was selling bank bills and the bank folded, so he ran. I asked the Sister Missionaries about this and they said that wasn't true, but I also wanted to know what was Joseph Smith teaching that was so horrible that he was so incredibly persecuted? They said they didn't know. He was teaching and practicing polygamy! I have to double check on when he started teaching that men can become gods. I'm not entirely sure on when he started that doctrine. But he also taught that God had a body of flesh and bone. Those teachings did not go over too well with the mainstream Christians, and he had been arrested in the past for "witchcraft" and "sorcery" because of his use of a seer stone. He had made a living finding water for people in NY with the use of this seer stone, but that was illegal. I'm a little fuzzy on the exact dates of that, but I know they happened. I just have to get accurate dates. Anyway.... the movie was quite upsetting.
We talked to several missionaries and I honestly got tired of the verbal dance we would do, where I would ask them a question and would get the standard LDS trained answer, I finally just stopped two Sisters in Temple Square and asked them, "What does it take for me to get into the Celestial Kingdom? To be with God?" They looked INCREDIBLY shocked and said, "Well, you need to accept that Jesus died for your sins, be baptized, repent of your sins and keep the commandments." I said, "How often do I need to repent?" They said, "Everyday." I said, "Do I HAVE to be baptized to be saved?" They said, "Yes." I said, "I was, at my church." They said, "It wasn't under the right authority." I said, "So, if I were to die right now, I wouldn't be with God according to your Church teachings, because I wasn't baptized by the right authority?" They said, "Well, you wouldn't...well, ..... we were on our way to another appointment". I apologized for stopping them and they were very nice, but I still didn't get a straight answer. Another couple a ladies did say that because they do baptisms for the dead that I would be ok..... *insert confused emoticon*
So, to give you the skinny in the short version... Not LDS... die, go to spirit prison. Get witnessed to in the afterlife by good LDS people who are in paradise and they travel down to spirit prison to witness to the lost. On earth people are baptizing for the dead. In spirit prison, I'm presented with the LDS Gospel, I accept.... (ok... just for illustration I say that. LOL) someone is baptized by proxy in the temple for me, I can now enter one of the levels of heaven... It wouldn't be the Celestial, because I wasn't married in the temple, but it could be one of the lower levels of heaven.... where it is said that there will be misery and great gnashing of teeth because we could have gotten into the Celestial kingdom to be with God. Yet, as stated earlier in the blog... that could end up being hell, because God has his body of flesh and bone and if he leaves the Celestial kingdom, it is now hell... Does that all sound promising to you? That's the "good news" of the LDS Church....
Regarding the Pageant, Flic and I watched it the other night and it is HORRIBLY blasphemous. It teaches that the earth is here solely for men to perfect themselves into godhood and that families are forever... Jesus came to the America's and how persecuted the LDS people were.
However a few days ago, I met a wonderful young LDS gentleman named Daniel and I have run into him each night. He is very friendly and seems happy to see me, as I am him, when we run into each other. I witnessed to him briefly on the streets and every night have run into him. Please keep him in your prayers. I met his family (sisters) tonight and it looks like his family and friends are actually in the pageant!!! So, they are all active LDS. Please keep them in your prayers.
That is about all right now. I'm exhausted and I'm going to crash. Goodnight!

Praise God for Sunday and a day of rest
Went to church this morning and it was so refreshing! I loved being in the presence of other believers and hearing complete Biblical truths instead of twisted LDS Doctrine. Praise God! Now, I went back to Mitz and Steve's to change because it is 48 degrees and raining.... bleh. But we are truly going to rest today. Flic, Gabe and I are going to have lunch, then Gabe has to work tonight, so Flic and I are going to rest for the afternoon!! Then we are going to fellowship with other Christians tonight and have dinner - homemade pizza!!! YAY! That is all right now. I'm so glad for a day of rest.
Tomorrow we are going to Salt Lake City to witness at Temple Square. That should be a tough day... Please pray!!!
More updates later!

So much has been happening.
Well, time is flying by here and we have all been so busy. I only have a second, then I'm heading over to Manti. Last night was pretty rough. A lot of people were yelling at each other and my entire night was spent calming people down. Please pray that tonight is not as crazy. I would venture to say that I spoke to 6 people the whole night, but watched a lot of drama going down. Not great at all... Disappointing, but praying that God used something in all that to glorify Him.
Tonight, Flic and I are going to watch the Pageant, so my update could be super duper late, but I have pics and video that I would LOVE to add. I've been so wiped out afterward, I haven't had the energy to post anything. I also have to do my examiner articles and have been too wiped out to even consider what I'm going to write. This is a TOUGH couple of weeks. It tries your brain, and your body. The spiritual warfare is off the charts and it takes it's toll. I have been here since Wednesday and it's now Saturday and I feel like I have run a marathon a day. I also feel like a lush, because I have taken a nap every single day since I got here and I know everyone probably thinks I'm the laziest person on earth. It's just what I call, "Utah tired" and there is no way to describe it. Utah breaks you down. But praise God that He is bigger than all this!!
So, that being said, I am going to grab a bite to eat, then head over to Flic and Gabe's to grab them for a night of witnessing!!!! Please keep praying for us.

1st Night of the Pageant. AMAZING!
So, last night was the first night of the Mormon Miracle Pageant. There wasn't a huge turnout as the first night is usually a little slow. And it was raining for the first half of the evening, then it got suuuuper cold. I'm from California, so I was freezing!
We got into this great conversation with three young adults and there was an amazing thing that happened. I was talking to the guy about Joseph Smith. He said he absolutely believed that Joseph Smith was a true prophet because everything he said pointed back to Jesus. I said, "Then what do you think about the quote, " I have more to boast of than ever any man had. I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam. A large majority of the whole have stood by me. Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I. " He said, with shock all over his entire being, "Joseph Smith never said that!!" I said, "Oh, yes, he did." He said, "Where then." My mind went blank! I knew he had said it, but for the life of me, could not remember where. I even told him I was drawing a blank.... then I looked to my left and there was a man holding a sign with that very quote on it!!!!! Quoting it from History of the Church, Vol. 6 page 408-409!!! How amazing is GOD!?!?!? I said, "Oh! It's right there!" The guy read it and said, "Oh, I had never heard that he said that." I said, "Yeah, it's an intense quote. And it's interesting that he used the word boast because that directly contradicts Eph. 2:8-9,"For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves it is a gift from God. Not of works lest any man should BOAST." Wouldn't you think the founder might be a little more humble than that? He said he was going to have to think about that.
Please pray for Daniel. He had already been hanging around some of the local Christians, so God is knocking on his heart.
I'm going to get some studying in, then I'm going to rest before we hit the streets tonight. The spiritual warfare here is intense and it always wears me down, so I'm trying to rest as much as possible so I don't get too worn out.
Please keep praying!!!
First night of the Mormon Miracle Pageant
Ok, so we are going out there tonight for the first night of the Mormon Miracle Pageant. We had more training this morning and it's one of those things... no matter how much you know about Mormonism, you could ALWAYS know more. I'm greatly humbled to be here and pray that I don't get in God's way of His work. I'll update later. I usually get REALLY tired while in Utah, so I'll update as much as possible, with videos and pictures. Please pray for some amazing conversations tonight and for Divine appointments. We're not here to fight with the Mormon people, we are here to show them that they are trapped in a works based religion and the only way out is through the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

So, I just arrived in Utah today for the Mormon Miracle Pageant! Flew in at 4 PM, rented a car and drove to Manti. Met up with Flic and Gabe and had a wonderful dinner, then came back to Ephraim to Mitz and Steve's house. I'm finally settled after a long day and I'm getting ready to turn in for the night.
Tomorrow morning, we have training from 9:30-12:00, with worship and prayer, then some free time before the PAGEANT!!! Please pray! This should be interesting!!!

A man is talking to God.
The man: God, how long is a million years?
God: To me, it’s about a minute.
The man: God, how much is a million dollars?
God: To me it’s a penny.
The man: God, may I have a penny?
God: Wait a minute.

Heaven out of Hell?
"Well, if we go to hell, we'll turn the devil out of doors and make a Heaven out of it."~ Joseph Smith, Jr
Why do Mormons like this saying? First, it sounds very boastful of Joseph. Why would he think that he would be able to do anything like that is beyond me.
Second... do you think he would mention Jesus somewhere in there. Oh, I can hear all the Mormons saying, "Well that's a given." No, not so much. Joseph also said "I have more to boast of than ever any man had. I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam. A large majority of the whole have stood by me. Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I. The followers of Jesus ran away from Him; but the Latter-day Saints never ran away from me yet . . . " (History of the Church, vol. 6, p. 408-409). Yet...
Joseph had a bit of an ego. To say the least.
My thinking on the subject is rather abstract, but hear me out. First, let's look at the quote, and this is a "prophet" speaking... not just any ol' man. The founding "prophet" of the church. He says, "if we go to hell", but isn't he teaching the "Restored Gospel"? Shouldn't he know if he's going to heaven or not? Why should there be any question... So, he must have been answering someone. Ok. Fair enough. He did get a lot of grief in his day... and still even now, but I think he deserves it. Moving on... "We'll turn the devil our of doors and make a Heaven out of it." How? With God? Or just you, Joey? Didn't one time mention Jesus. He just said "we". Most Christians, if daring to make a statement such as that, would at least say something along the lines of, "God willing" or "with God", "Jesus will," or something like that. But it seems that Joey's ego got ahead of him and he didn't seem to care if he was going to hell. And wait! The LDS doctrine doesn't even believe in hell now, so what gives? If the founding "prophet" said that there was a possibility of him going there, that means two things...
1. He didn't think his "gospel" was enough to save Him, because if he did, he would have stood firm behind it.
2. He thought he could be responsible for something that is impossible.
"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth" - Might want to read that one again...

For by grace ye are saved... right?
D&C 137:7-10 - "For I, the Lord, will judge all men according to their works, according to the desires of their hearts."
Oh Joseph... Did you read the Bible?
Ephesians 2:8-9 "8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9Not of works, lest any man should boast."
Hebrews 4:16 "16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need"
Galations 1:3, "3 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,"
Galations 1:6, "6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:"
Acts 15:11, "11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they."
Romans 6:14, "14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace."
2 Thessalonians 1:12, "12 That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ."
Galations 5:4. "4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace."
Ephesians 1:2,"7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;"
Titus 3:7, "7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life."
Romans 3:24, "24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:"
John 1:17, "17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ."
Galations 2:21, "21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain." - One of my personal faves!
2 Corinthians 6:1, "1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain."
Ephesians 2:5, "5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)"
Ephesians 4:7, "7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ."
1 Corinthians 1:4, "4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;"
There are more if you would like... but I think this sufficiently makes my point. There are a lot more verses that pertain to grace through faith, than the other way around. Please Mormons, don't put the cart before the horse. Works are FINE! That's not what I'm saying, but don't do them just to win favor with the Lord. What would be that ONE thing that got you into Heaven if that's the case? Do you know what that ONE thing is? What would tip the scales in your favor? Then, what if you sinned again... are you back where you started? Do you not think that if works were what were required for our salvation there would be enough Biblical verses to back that up? There aren't. Only Joey's verses... Does that strike anyone as odd? Suddenly the Lord would change His mind? It clearly says in the Bible that He does not change His mind.
Do you see where Mormonism clearly contradicts Christianity, yet LDS love to be called Christians, but you disagree with our teachings and doctrine. Then don't call yourselves Christian! It's that simple. I don't agree with Buddhism, so I'm not a Buddhist. Simple. Why is that so hard to comprehend? If you don't agree with us, then say so. Stand strong in that, but don't be wishy washy. Yes, we're Christians, but we dont' agree with a word you say. Don't use Christian terms in order to lure people to believe in your doctrine. Don't tell people you believe in Jesus if it's a completely different Jesus. Just be honest. Sorry for the rant. I didn't realize I had so much to say on the subject....
And...
JOEY SMITH!!! What is this???
It should actually read, "Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.

S.P.A.M. - The Society for the Prevention of Anti-Mormonism
Ok, so I was just on their very well put together site. Honestly, makes mine look very little and unprofessional... quite honestly, it is. So... truth there. It is a site that does what it says it does. It goes after "Anti-Mormon" ministries and sites and responds to them. Fair enough. There were a couple of things that I would like to point out.
1. He claims that sites and ministries such as Ephesians 2 Ministry (I have no affiliation with Eph. 2 - I just saw that S.P.A.M. had a beef with them) and sites, like this one, although I think I'm much to small for him to even bother, are hate sites. That could not be farther from the truth. There is nothing that I say here that is filled with hate. I do NOT hate the LDS people. At all! Not one bit. I can't hate them. I love them... sincerely! Though, he cannot judge my heart, he can only go by what we say or what we write. So, that being said, I will skip to number 2.
2. I'm not quite understanding the whole part of his logo where it says, "Truth is not a tactic..." ???? I'm sorry... What??? It's almost like he's putting his fingers in his ears and saying "Yayayayayaya! I can't hear you!" Huh? The truth is not a tactic? I have to be putting the accent on the wrong syllable... How can the TRUTH not be a tactic, when the truth is just that? The truth.
The truth behind what I say, and what other Christian missionaries say is Truth. The Truth of Jesus. That is what we base our discussions on. As we are human, we are not always going to be that eloquent, but we are speaking Biblical truth. So, when he says the Truth is not a tactic... I can't help but think he is just a child, kicking and screaming that he can't have his candy.
3. Just because I don't agree with Mormonism doesn't make me Anti-Mormon... Oh, I'm so sick of hearing that term... It's such a victim mentality. I'm not Anti-Mormon... again. Not Anti... I don't agree with the doctrine of the LDS Church and my heart and my love is poured into this. I hate seeing people being deceived by the LDS Doctrine. I hate seeing people lost with the burden of the LDS Church on their shoulders, so if THAT is how you define Anti... then maybe I'm wrong and maybe I am. But as far as I see it, being Anti-Mormon would be against the Mormon people and that I am not. At all. I am very Pro-Mormon. But I guess it depends on how you look at it. If you define it as against the strong hold the LDS Church has on it's people and the deceit then I'm Anti. If you define it as being against the Mormon people, I most definitely am NOT Anti. So, before passing judgement on me, or any other ministry, just because they disagree with the doctrine of the Church, "judge not". On a personal note, if I hear that I'm Anti or a Protestor one more time.... Ahhh!
In conclusion, as you can tell, I am very passionate about how I feel about this. I do NOT hate Mormon people, I love them. I am against the LDS Church as an establishment. Truth is a tactic... still don't understand how it's not. And, although I may not be the most eloquent, I have a passion for this and I pray that I won't get in God's way to speak to the LDS people. I pray that they find their way out of the Mormon maze and to God. That's all I want. That is all these ministries want. We want to serve God and if that means that we stand up and speak about this, then that is what we will do. Our hearts are for God, not man. If you don't like it, I apologize. Our hearts are in the right place and we stand by that.

Read five pages of the Book of Mormon and what?
From Mormon Facts via Twitter:
Read five pages of The Book of Mormon. You will know it is a second testament of Jesus Christ
Really? Which five? The introduction which solidifies the belief in the Trinity? Or that the Nephites and the Lamities are fighting.... snooze... Give me those five pages and I'll happily read them... because so far... I haven't found them.
I have however, read these words:
Deuteronomy 4:2

I have however, read these words:
Deuteronomy 4:2
"You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you."
"Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it." Deuteronomy 12:32
"...if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ." Galations 1:9-10
"For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you may well put up with it!" 2 Corinthians 11:4
"Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His words, lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar." Proverbs 30:5-6
"If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." Revelation 22:18-19
Family or God... You make the choice
According to Mormon Facts via Twitter:
The LDS Church is unique in teaching that by living the Gospel of Jesus Christ, families can be together forever.
So, that's the point of it all? Only to be with your families? Couple of things that stand out to me. One... the obvious... what if you don't like your family? There are so many negative implications here. Could make some people shutter.
Two... the BIG one. Where is Jesus in all this? Wouldn't one think that you would want to spend eternity with Him? With God?!!? And I know in LDS Doctrine they are two seperate beings which opens a whole new can of worms. Read Here...for more on that. It just seems to futile to me to work and work and work, only to spend time with your family, which is what you do here. And half of the people fight with their family... but not all, so we won't go there.
To me that whole doctrine takes away the Divinity of God. Now hear me out. It raises man to the level of God. Which is what the LDS believe. So, this is nothing new, but it lowers God to merely another being that we will chill with in eternity... granted you've worked hard enough and made it that far.
My question is this... Who is more important family or God? Then tell me what all this... ie. life, is all about? Is it so that we can "progress" to Godhood, get our own planet and people that planet, spend time in eternity with our families, even if that is in a lower level of Heaven or is the meaning of this life to glorify God, worship Him and spend our eternity with Him, praising and worship Him in His presence?
Now... is it that important to be with your family or God?

Ok Utah, we're on a roll. Second day of daily bible verse! Let's explore God's Word more and more so that we can live it, breathe it, and know it. Today's Bible verse is 1 Peter 1:8-9,
"8Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
9Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls."

It's pesky "prophet" time!
“Yes, [polygamy is] one of the relics of Adam, of Enoch, of Noah, of Abraham, of Isaac, of Jacob, of Moses, David, Solomon, the Prophets, of Jesus, and his apostles.”
- Prophet Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, v. 11, p. 328
Brigham, you just had to keep talking didn't you? Just kept blabbin' and blabbin'. Didn't quite know when to shut your trap. Not wise for a "prophet".

More pesky "prophets" and their carrying on
"Who can tell us of the inhabitants of this little planet that shines of an evening, called the moon?...when you inquire about the inhabitants of that sphere you find that the most learned are as ignorant in regard to them as the ignorant of their fellows. So it is in regard to the inhabitants of the sun. Do you think it is inhabited? I rather think it is. Do you think there is any life there? No question of it; it was not made in vain." (Journal of Discourses, vol. 13, p. 271)
Well said, Brigham... Well said.
Well said, Brigham... Well said.
Those pesky "prophets" and their carrying on...
“Angels are those beings who have been on an earth like this, and have passed through the same ordeals that we are now passing through. They have kept their first estate far enough to preserve themselves in the Priesthood. They did not so violate the law of the Priesthood and condemn themselves to the sin against the Holy Ghost as to be finally lost. They are not crowned with the celestial ones. They are persons who have lived upon an earth, but did not magnify the Priesthood in that high degree that many others have done who have become Gods, even the sons of God.”
- Prophet Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, v. 9, p. 103
You did what? With who? For how many cookies???

WHO was Jesus?
According to LDS Facts via Twitter:
Many people believe the person in Indian history called Quetzalcoatl, Hyustus, Kukulcan, Gucumatz, Con-Tici, etc was actually Jesus Christ
Who believes that? Do you know of anyone who believes that? I have never even heard that... and I've heard a lot of nutty things. IMHO, just another attempt by the LDS Church to make the Book of Mormon credible. Jesus was not in the Americas...
Quetzalcoatl was the "feathered Serpent" or "Precious Twin". He is the god intelligence and self-reflection, a patron of priests. Quetzalcoatl is a primordial god of creation, a giver of life. With his opposite Tezcatlipoca he created the world. Quetzalcoatl is also called White Tezcatlipoca, to contrast him to the black Tezcatlipoca.

Kukulcan - The Maya supreme god, to whom the Maya attributed many functions. Not only was he a god of the four elements, he was also a creator god and the god of resurrection and reincarnation. He originated from Toltec myth, where he was a divine hero who taught the Toltecs laws, fishing, healing, the calendar, and agriculture. He emerged from the ocean, and disappeared in it afterwards.
His name means "the feathered serpent", and the Aztec merged him with their Quetzalcoatl. His attributes, each representing one element, are a maize-ear (earth), a fish (water), lizard (fire), and vulture (air). He is the so-called 'God B'.
REINCARNATION people... NOT Jesus.

Gucumatz - Is a bed and breakfast in San Jose... Really... But seriously... Yet another name for the "Feathered Serpant"
Con-Tici is also known as Viracocha is the great creator god in the pre-Inca and Inca mythology in the Andes region of South America. Viracocha was one of the most important deities in the Inca pantheon and seen as the creator of all things, or the substance from which all things are created, and intimately associated with the sea.[1] Viracocha created the universe, sun, moon and stars, time (by commanding the sun to move over the sky)[2] and civilization itself. Viracocha was worshipped as god of the sun and of storms. He was represented as wearing the sun for a crown, with thunderbolts in his hands, and tears descending from his eyes as rain.

So really.... "Feathered Serpant"? Come on LDS Church... Get your mind right!

Just a thought....
Moroni 7:16-17 - "Whatsoever thing persuadeth men to do evil, and believe not in Christ, and deny him, and serve not God...is of the devil."
Ok. I agree... but serving God involves letting go of idolatry. Singing "Praise to the Man" would be idolatry. Just a thought.
The purpose of the LDS Temples is What?
According to LDS Temples via Twitter...
"When you come to the temple you will love your family with a deeper love than you have ever felt before. The temple is about families."
If should read, "When you come to the temple you will love GOD with a deeper love than you have ever felt before. The temple is about GOD". But it doesn't say that... There are a lot of things missing here. When you speak to any Mormon, they will say that they "feel" the presence of God in the temple. The Temple, although, I personally do not believe that they are required, because when Jesus died, the veil was ripped from top to bottom thereby opening the Holy of Holies for those who believed.... Wouldn't the Temple be about GOD, be about JESUS and NOT Family?!? About the Almighty God and not mere humans???? Where then does the worship of God come in? One would naturally be inclined to believe that worship of God would take place in the Temple... NOT the worship of MAN. Yet another heartbreak coming from the LDS Church.

To the people of Utah, the Word of God is like the air we breathe. It's necessary, gives us life and gives us hope. So, we are going to embark on an adventure. A bible verse a day. Just one minute our of your busy lives to read the Word of God, even if only for a second. Just one verse. Let's give God one moment of our time, praise Him and devote some time to Him. He deserves it.

Gal. 5:22-23 says, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."
Many people will refer to this as the "fruit" in the plural form, however in Greek the word for "fruit" is "karpos" and it is in the singular. So, interestingly enough, there is only one fruit of the Spirit. Love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control are all one thing. The emphasis should actually be on The Spirit. This fruit is not of us, but through the Spirit.

How do you know there is a God? Does it really even matter? If there is a God, does He even bother with us? These are fundamental questions most humans ask at least some point in their lives. The answers to these questions can lead people all over the map, from Christianity, to Buddhism, Islam, to Atheism. Some people experience none of these, and some people experience all of them. What is the answer?

Great God
Great God
God is a God of righteousness
God sits on the throne
God is strong in battle
God is God alone
God wise and merciful
God is sovereign Lord
God is pure and holy
God reigns forevermore
He’s a great God, a righteous King
Ruler over everything
He’s a great God, we will proclaim
Honor and glory to his name
God holds up the universe
God sustains the soul
God exalts and God puts down
God is in control
God’s glory is eternal
God is love and peace
God knows all, sees all, is all
God is to be praised
Blessing and glory and wisdom
Thanksgiving and honor and power and might
Be to our God forever and ever
